There was an incremental innovation in the market.


'2A diffusion LED'

A circled lens was attached to the LED that enabled the light angle to spread wider and less which also consumed less number of LED. This product made our patented product useless. This new diffusion LED allows the light to spread evenly and lightweight if attached on the back panel. It is also cost efficient

We had to use this LED. But then it is us admitting there is no differentiation.

We had to come up with another idea to differentiate our products from the others. 

Then decided to change the open and closed-face light panel frame on the front. The open and closed-face panel uses aluminium, endurance and easy to change the visual inside the panel. The downside is that it is expensive and also hard to realise the original CI colour.

Until now, most of the open and closed-face panels are similar. Therefore we printed CI colour on the front and side then change the visual from the top using different materials.  

The market response was very positive.

Where could be the most effective location for a light panel as a promotional tool?

It works better in a dimly lit area than in a bright one, and at night it works better than during the day. The production could not keep up with the demand due to its high cost. But, after our technique was created, it allowed the company to market its goods and brands through mass production. The LED panel is typically used by retail brands or liquor companies to emphasise and display their items.. Again, when the method became generalised our product became less competitive and differentiated.


Once again, another new idea was needed. It is hard to create more incremental innovation. 


A radical breakthrough invention was required. 


Why are the only window promotion tools neon and paper posters? A window is a great place to communicate with customers but why it is not regarded as significant? Of course, there are products to apply on windows that help to promote products and brands such as DID that shows videos. Ceiling - DID (Digital Information Display) --> DID는 좀 전문적으로 쓰고 이 보다는 전반적으로 digital signage라고만 명명하는것 같습니다  천정DID(영국이나 유럽에서도 DID라는 명칭을 쓰는지 확인) is expensive and hard to install that more fits in interior areas. That is why it can not be widely used only used by big companies that are capable. It is therefore a different category than the light panels.

We had an idea of applying this LED panel to the window. The significant difference from existing products ber(철자확인--> 잘못들어간것 같아요/ 요건 빼주세요) is to attach the LED on the window directly. There were already products that can be displayed on the windows. But mostly it is mounted to the ceiling by using wires which is hard to install and creates various problems.

So we decide to attach the LED panels to the windows.  


The most important thing about innovation is what to do, not how to do it.
